Tariqna / Tari2na – Memory Path
Tariqna / Tari2na is a memory-mapping project that documents the cultural landscape, personal narratives, and collective memory of Antakya.
It brings together storytelling, visual art, and the emotional relationship between people and place—revealing the invisible layers of a city marked by loss, displacement, and resilience.
In this project, the oral histories and childhood routes shared by Antakya-born researcher Yiğit Göktuğ Torun were transformed into a series of illustrations and visual memory fragments.
Each drawing reflects both an intimate personal story and a shared urban memory.
Each drawing reflects both an intimate personal story and a shared urban memory.
The visual language aims to foreground Antakya’s multicultural fabric and the everyday moments that once defined the city.
It is an attempt to hold onto the memory of a city altered by time, disaster, and migration.
A walk, a remembering, a way of rebuilding what was lost.
